The teams involved were the champions of the National Football Conference (NFC), Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFL league announced the five finalists on 19th May 2015, and it became clear who would host the super bowl LIII and super bowl LIV in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The National Football League team owners voted for the cities on 24th May 2016. The first voting round helped in determining who would host super bowl LIII. The second one was to know where super bowl LIV would take place.
The third development voting round was for the addition to the selection of where Super Bowl LV would take place. At that time, Miami and Atlanta were never among the sites to choose from since they had hosted Super Bowl LIII and LIV. On the other hand, Los Angeles would be an option since previously it was under construction, and now it was ready.

Effects of Covid 19 pandemic on Super Bowl LV
In the 2020 NFL season, the league forbids various forms of entertainment on the field. For instance, the halftime shows and the performance of the national team are empty.
